State and Local Independent Expenditure Program: 2017 State Allocations Now Available
The amount of funds available to each state as part of the NAR State and Local Independent Expenditure (IE) Program is now available on the REALTOR® Action Center (login required). This table will be updated every month based on any funds received via the Corporate Ally Program. As a reminder, four states (VA, NJ, LA and KY) must use all of their funds by the end of 2017. The 46 other states have the ability to “carryover” funding until the 2018 elections. If you have any questions regarding the State and Local IE Program or any of these allocations, please contact Mitchell Norton or 202-383-1091. |

Message from the GAD Chair
|
Mark J. Quarry
GAD Chair
Cincinnati Area Board OF REALTORS®
|
Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent electronic survey from NAR. The PAG formed to evaluate REALTOR® Party programming and tools will use your feedback, so we look forward to their findings.
As you know, conventional wisdom says “tax reform” is likely on the 115th Congress’ agenda this year. On February 6, our Federal Political Coordinators (FPCs) will be meeting with NAR staff in Washington, D.C. at the Federal Policy Conference and FPC Training. No doubt the Mortgage Interest Deduction will be a major area of focus for them and a main talking point for all of us and members of Congress at the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in May.
Registration for the GAD Institute typically opens the week after the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo, so be sure to sign up! The GAD Advisory Group continues its work on programming for this year’s GAD Institute in West Palm Beach, Fla. (July 11-14, 2017). Click here for some basic information about this year’s GAD Institute.
If you have ideas or suggestions about this year’s GAD Institute or anything else, please contact me GAD Chair Mark Quarry, GAD Vice Chair Cady Thomas or Kyle Lambert London.
I hope that the month of February is good for everyone. Hang in there – Punxsutawney Phil is only predicting six more weeks of winter!
