Advocacy plays a critical a role in our goal to revolutionize the real estate industry and prepare REALTORS® for sustainable future success. We, along with 2017 REALTOR® Party Director Charlie Oppler, want to highlight our advocacy efforts with the REALTOR® Party Month celebration this May.

The number of state and territorial associations that met the five RPAC goals to win the 2016 Triple Crown Award. Winners include Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Guam, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virgin Islands and West Virginia. In 2017, there will be state and local Triple Crown goals and awards.

Brown Congratulates Carson as New HUD Chief |
NAR President Bill Brown said he looks forward to working with Dr. Ben Carson, who was confirmed as secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development last week. As a first order of business, NAR would like to see the quarter-point decrease in FHA insurance premiums reinstated. Details are in the latest Voice for Real Estate news video from NAR, which also looks at President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress two weeks ago. In that speech, President Trump touched on issues important to real estate, including infrastructure funding, tax reform, health insurance reform and deregulation. |
