The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) released its 2022 annual report to Congress in mid-November. NAR applauded FHA for its impressive financial performance, with substantial capital reserves that are 9.2% above what is required by Congress and 3% higher than their previous year’s reporting. Given FHA’s strong financial footing, NAR continues to advocate for a reduction in the Mortgage Insurance Premium to help buyers facing high interest rates. |

When the administrators of Cumberland County, N.C., proposed an ordinance placing a moratorium on construction of zero lot line developments, the Longleaf Pine REALTORS® used the REALTOR® Party’s Advocacy Everywhere program to launch an emergency Call For Action. The robust response from REALTOR® members sent a clear message to elected officials about the damage that such a ban would do to the already dwindling dream of homeownership in the region. |
